"Lance" is a tricolor male sheltie born in June 1993. He had a bad
reaction to a DHLPP vaccine on 10/25/99. His DM lesions first developed as an ulceration around the eye on 10/30/99. By
11/11/99 lesions were present around both eyes and on his feet, and the biopsy report said that lesions were present
on the lips, ears and legs as well. "Lance" was started on prednisone at this time. "Lance" entered the TX A&M DM study
on 11/29/99 and the prednisone was tapered off. Vitamin E400 IU twice daily was also administered. Photos show "Lance"
with leg and facial lesions before the Trental study. After the Trental therapy he has regrown hair except for the inner tips
of his ears. The final photo shows "Lance" doing what he loves best -- herding. His agility friends helped raise money to
fun "Lance's" long distance participation in this study. We thank "Lance's" family for sharing his photos and story in our album.
