Misty the Wonder Mouse, as she was dubbed at four months of age after
she ended up on the dining table playing with the kitten, is an 11 1/4”
PRINCESS and she doesn’t let anyone forget that she is royalty and should
be treated appropriately. Mouse has quite a fan club that started when
she would accompany me to the conformation shows and hold court in her
open sherpa bag placed on a grooming table. Then she discovered agility
and she started a whole new fan club. Mouse has issues and things she
worries about (like monsters she imagines can snatch a little sheltie girl
off contact obstacles and pause tables) and when we started training many
thought we would be lucky to get novice agility titles on her. Now Mouse
is over halfway to her Masters Preferred titles which will give her a total
of 21 titles after her name!!!! Quite an accomplishment for a little dog
with dermatomyositis and worries!! Misty is also the official “Poster Dog”
for the Texas A&M Dermatomyositis Studies. She was one of the very first
dogs that started the studies seven years ago. Because she is, at 8 yrs old,
developing arthritis in her shoulders Mouse will be retired from agility
competition after completing h;
